Allied Mental Health Services opened its doors in 1985. Originally established as an alternative healing center for recovery from compulsive, addictive and dysfunctional behavior and drug abuse, AMHS successfully helped many people turn around their lives without costly hospitalizations or dependence on medications. As demand for services increased from people not needing intensive help, but wanting to improve the quality of their lives, new programs were introduced. The drug abuse component gave way to an expanded hypnotherapy and holistic healing emphasis.

People required fewer and fewer visits while gaining optimal results. Previously skeptical physicians, chiropractors, psychologists, pain specialists and even insurance companies began referring greater numbers of people, including themselves and their staffs! In turn, those people referred family and friends. AMHS became success driven and as people came with the expectation of changing for the better, the results became increasingly better.

Before new clients are accepted they are screened. Wanting help to stop physically or emotionally hurting will not get an appointment. People need to see themselves in the future free of the problem. Engaging the imagination and creativity of the mind become a major initial step toward the path of healthy positive change.
